Dave has been one of top-performing individual hedge-fund managers in the US for the past decade. Dave co-founded, invested in, and managed Smart Software, a financial data analytics company in 1994. The Company, one of only four such service providers worldwide then, grew to 1000 people in 5 years, following which it was acquired by McGraw Hill (subsidiary of Standard & Poors). Over the past decade, Dave formulated a unique options trading strategy for public equity markets. Applying this trading strategy, Dave invested in public equities trading on the US Stock Exchanges and returned a few thousand times the initial investment, making him one of the best performing individual hedge-fund managers in the US. Dave formed the Seven Hills Group in 2004, a private hedge fund investing in public and private equity opportunities. Since 2004, Seven Hills Group has invested in more than a dozen portfolio companies in India and the United States, including 212Media , Lightspeed Audio (Web 2.0), Miasole (Alternate Energy), Phatphish (Media & Entertainment), and Quartics (Semiconductors).
